Ghimire bags Human Rights Hero Award 2019

Kathmandu / Apr 26: Human Rights Activist Ganesh Prasad Ghimire has been conferred Human Rights Hero Award 2019. Ghimire received the award during the 7th South Asian Regional Human Rights Summit held recently in Kathmandu.

Ghimire is the former General Secretary of Human Rights Journalists Association of Nepal and has been associated with Amnesty International Nepal.

The summit attended by over 100 youths of Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Taiwan and United States also discussed various human rights related issues including role of youth in the protection and promotion of human rights.

The summit organized by Youth for Human Rights International and Youth for Human Rights Nepal was attended by various personalities involved in human rights sector.
