NC lawmaker registers amendment proposal on fiscal year budget of MoWS

Kathmandu / June 30: Nepali Congress lawmaker Anita Devkota registered an amendment proposal on the fiscal year budget of the Ministry of Water Supply (MoWS) on Sunday.

Devkota tabled the amendment proposal at the National Assembly seeking to reduce the fiscal year budget allocated for the MoWS. In her amendment proposal, she sought to slash the allocated budget for fuel for the government vehicles.

The government had allocated money for the purpose of fuel for the government vehicles in the fiscal year budget unveiled earlier this month.

Devkota also expressed inordinate delay over the Melamchi Drinking Water Supply Project.
