National Film Award 2075 felicitates successful films
Kathmandu / July 13: The National Film Award 2075 felicitated several talents of the Nepali film fraternity amid a program organized at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Maharajgunj on Friday.
Out of the 11 nominations, ‘BulBul’ and ‘Gopi’ grabbed the limelight at the award function. ‘Gopi’ bagged a total of three awards under different categories. Dipendra Lama won ‘Best Story Award’, Samipya Timalsena won ‘Best Screenplay Award’ and ‘Best Film’ for ‘Gopi’.
Similarly, ‘Bulbul’ won a total of two awards where Swastima Khadka and Binod Paudel was awarded the ‘Best Actress Award’ and ‘Best Director Award’ respectively.
Versatile actor, Bipin Karki won the ‘Best Actor Award’ for ‘Prasad’. All the winners were conferred with Rs 21,000 cash prize including appreciation letters and trophy conferred by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari
Likewise, veteran filmmaker Tulsi Ghimire was felicitated with the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’. Ghimire received Rs 3, 51,000 along with a trophy and appreciation letters.
The event comprised energetic performances from various prominent actors.
The annual award function could not take place in the year 2073 BS and 2074 BS due to several reasons. The awards due were also handed over at the ceremony.
