Government committed to controlling public land encroachment: Minister Aryal

Kathmandu / August 7: Minister for Land Management, Co-operatives and Poverty Alleviation Padma Kumari Aryal has reiterated that the government is committed to checking the encroachment of government land.

Speaking at an interaction program in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Minister Aryal clarified that the government has developed Land Information Management System Software to keep records of government and public land effectively. She also declared that the government has already formulated a law in a bid to set up a ‘land bank’.

Through that land bank, we have planned to take citizen’s unallocated land on lease and seek an optimum utilization, said Minister Aryal.

She also claimed that the government has intensified the task of retrieving the encroached government and public land.
