Govt to remove hoarding boards
Kathmandu / Dec. 26: The government has decided to dislodge the hoarding boards, pamphlets, posters and other similar contents placed by challenging the beauty of the towns.
A meeting of the stakeholders held under the chair of Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa on Thursday took a decision to remove such contents from Friday by making four different groups in Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
Likewise, the local levels would be communicated through the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration to act accordingly, the meeting decided.
Moreover, a public notice with a fixed timeline would be issued to remove the cables of telephone, TV and internet providing companies.
The government authorities would take step if those cables were not removed within the given deadline, it is said.
Home Minister Thapa, on the occasion, said that such move was taken by considering the human health and beauties of the town.
He said that even the Supreme Court (SC) has given order over such structures and the government was committed to implementing the SC verdict.
Likewise, Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Bidhya Sundar Shakya committed to replacing such infrastructures from Friday. RSS
