Government employees urged to enroll their children in public schools

Doti / Jan 25: Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province Trilochan Bhatta has said the government employees should mandatorily get their children enrolled in government schools.

He said this while speaking at the foundation-laying program of the Nijamati Karmachari Bidyalaya (school for children of civil servants) being constructed by the Sudurpaschim Provincial Government. The school is being constructed at Bagneti of Dipayal Silgadhi municipality-4 in the district.

CM Bhatta expressed his displeasure saying the employees who have been drawing their salary from the state treasury are admitting their children in private boarding schools. He stated that data is being collected from the government employees throughout the province who have enrolled their children in private and boarding schools.

Bhatta, on the occasion, stressed on the need for abolishing the Chhaupadi practice from society. Those adopting this harmful social practice should be socially boycotted, he said.

Stating that the federalism has opened the door to development, he claimed that the provincial government has been working by addressing the people’s needs. He also suggested that people should monitor the works carried out by the government.

The two-storied school building to be constructed would have six rooms. Its estimated construction cost is Rs 23.9 million. The construction will be completed by December 2021
