NA Wide body resumes regular flights from today

Kathmandu, Feb. 18: The wide body aircraft of the national flag carrier, Nepal airlines, A-330, which evacuated Nepalis from Wuhan, the epicenter of Covid-19, is all set to resume its regular flights.

The aircraft, after rescuing 175 Nepali nationals from Wuhan, have completed the 48 hours quarantine period in accordance to international safety standards.

After completion of quarantine period today morning, the airplane was cleaned and was made ready to perform its regular flights, informed Archana Khadka, Spokesperson of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC).

“We have scheduled the wide body for its regular flights from today by fulfilling all the safety and cleanliness measures,” she said.

As per the schedule determined by NAC, the aircraft will fly to Doha today at 10:30 PM.

NAC informed that all the procedural standards specified by the World Health Organisation (WHO) was completed after evacuation of Nepalis from Wuhan.

The wide body aircraft was parked at the ‘Remote Parking Way’ in the North-East side of the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA).

Three pilots, four health workers, seven crew members, one engineer, one technician, one dispatcher were sent to Wuhan on Saturday night on the wide body aircraft to bring in 175 Nepalis.

The aircraft had landed at TIA on Sunday morning at 3:36 AM.
