Task-force formed to set up quarantine at TIA

Kathmandu / March 1: A taskforce has been formed to manage a quarantine meant to checkup the health of all the inbound and outbound passengers at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

A ministerial level decision was taken by Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai at the Ministry today.

The decision was taken as to apply precaution measures to prevent the novel corona virus epidemic.

The taskforce was formed under the chair of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) Director Dev Chandra Lal Karna.

The taskforce comprises Dr Hemanta Chandra Ojha of Health Ministry, TIA Emigration Office Director Rajesh Panthi, Sharad Kafle of airlines operators committee and a member from the security sector.

The taskforce is assigned to make all necessary preparations to set up quarantine posts at the TIA. RSS
