NAC wide-body aircraft flying to Australia, China, and South Korea

Kathmandu / May 2: The national flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has continued chartered and cargo flights to its international destinations during the nationwide lockdown.

The NAC has so far made its chartered flights to India, Bangladesh, Japan, and Australia and four cargo flights to Guangzhou, China since the lockdown came into force on March 24.

According to NAC Spokesperson Archana Khadka, the NAC on May 6 will be making one more chartered flight to Sydney in Australia. Prior to this, on April 1, it made a 13-hour chartered flight to Brisbane of Australia via Malaysia thorough its wide-body. The flight was termed to be a historic one by the NAC because it was its longest-ever flight.

For the upcoming flight for Australia, the NAC wide-body aircraft will reach Sydney via the Kuala Lumpur transit and the arrival flight will be non-stop from Sydney to TIA. It will leave for Sydney carrying over 250 people and return empty. Besides, it is scheduled to operate a cargo flight on TIA- Beijing route to bring a shipment of medical equipment for private suppliers.

Moreover, The NAC wide-body aircraft will also be flying to South Korea. Earlier the flight was scheduled for April 30, but it was postponed due to some reasons. The new schedule is yet to be determined. It is said the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) South Korea is taking Nepali migrant workers back to Korea through the NAC chartered flight. Those workers arrived here for holidays before the enforcement of the lockdown. RSS
