NA brings medical supplies from Guangzhou

Kathmandu / May 28 : Nepal Army has brought vital anti-COVID-19 medical supplies including testing kits and PPEs from Guangzhou of China to prevent and control coronavirus.

A wide-body aircraft of the Nepal Airlines Corporation brought the medical supplies in Kathmandu this morning.

This is the second cargo flight ferrying supplies procured from Sinopharm- 20th flight since March 28 carrying medical supplies to Nepal. The wide-body aircraft had flown towards Guangzhou on Wednesday night.

NA Spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pande said that around 15 tonnes of medical supplies have been brought.

Out of 341 tonnes of medical supplies purchased from China through G2G process, a plan was set to bring 47.5 tonnes of health supplies from aircrafts and the remaining amount of health supplies via land route. RSS
