COVID-19 update: 2,824 new cases, 3620 recoveries in 24 hours
Kathmandu / Nov. 1: With 2,824 new cases of the novel coronavirus infection confirmed on Sunday, Nepal’s COVID-19 caseload has reached 173,567.
Currently, there 37,765 are active cases of COVID-19 across the nation.
Meanwhile, 3,620 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment institutional isolation or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has now recorded 134,842 cases of recoveries.
As many as 23 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours and with this, the national COVID-19 related death tally has reached 960.
Kathmandu Valley records 1622 new cases
Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed detection of 1,622 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in Kathmandu Valley.
According to the Ministry, a total of 13,013 PCR tests were conducted across the country in the same period.
Of the infected found in the Valley in the last 24 hours, 1,362 were from Kathmandu, 164 from Lalitpur and 96 from Bhaktapur.
2,824 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 were found across the nation in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry, while 2,620 persons recovered from the deadly virus in the same period.
