COVID-19 update: 1,380 new cases, 515 recoveries and 19 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu / Nov. 28: With 1,380 new cases of novel coronavirus confirmed on Saturday, the national COVID-19 tally has surged to 230,723.

“As many as 1,380 persons were found to have been infected with SARS-CoV-2,” informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its update.

Meanwhile, 515 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment institutional isolation or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has now recorded 211,186 cases of recoveries.

Moreover, as many as 19 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours and with this, the national COVID-19 related death tally has reached 1,454.

Kathmandu valley registers 645 new cases

The three districts of Kathmandu Valley reported a total of 645 new cases of coronavirus infection on Saturday.

Of the new cases, 285 are females and 360 are males.

As many as 485 cases were recorded in Kathmandu district while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur reported 124 and 36 cases respectively.

The number of active cases in Kathmandu at present is 8,039 while those of Lalitpur and Bhaktapur are 1,626 and 632 respectively.
