COVID-19 Update: 112 new infections and 84 recoveries in 24 hours
Kathmandu / Feb. 25: The Ministry of Health and Population on Thursday confirmed 112 new cases of COVID-19, taking the nation’s novel coronavirus tally to 273,872.
“In 3,411 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, 112 persons were found infected with SARS-CoV-2,” informed the Ministry of Health and Population in its daily update.
Currently, there are 882 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation of which, 1,110 patients are receiving treatment in institutional isolation while the remaining are placed in home isolation. Likewise, a total of 63 people, mostly those who had returned from abroad are placed in quarantine across the nation.
Meanwhile, 84 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in institutional isolation or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has now recorded 270,223 cases of recovery and the recovery rate is at 98.7 per cent.
