PM Oli asks for support from all to tackle COVID-19 pandemic

Kathmandu / April 17: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has sought support from all sides to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic. PM Oli asked for this support in an all-party meeting called by him at his official residence Baluwatar today.

According to RPP leader Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani, the Prime Minister asked for cooperation from all political parties and bodies concerned to contain the COVID-19 pandemic and his party submitted seven-point suggestions to the government to this effect.

He further mentioned that PM Oli said that the Speaker at the House of Representatives (HoR) was not supporting the government business adding that his role in the parliament was not as per the expectation.

DPM Ishwar Pokharel, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel and Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and general secretary Bimalendra Nidhi, Janata Samajbadi leaders Mahantha Thakur and Laxman Lal Karna, Dr Lohani, and Nepal Workers and Peasants Party leader Prem Suwal were present in the meeting.
