Efforts on to reduce COVID-19 effect on tourism: Minister Dhakal

Kathmandu / April 20: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Bhanubhakta Dhakal has said government has initiated a process to reduce the adverse impact of Covid-19 on tourism. Minister Dhakal said it while talking to journalists here today.

“In view of the tourism which suffered worst last year, we need to adopt measures on time this year,” he said, adding that a special package would be brought to address the problems facing the tourism sector. He however said all sides’ efforts were imperative to control coronavirus infection. If people honestly abide by the health protocol, spread of coronavirus could be contained even without imposing lockdown.

Minister Dhakal had arrived in Madi last Wednesday in course of the installation of statues of Ram and Sita at Ramdham of Madi in Chitwan. RSS
