CEPHED wins ‘WWF Nepal Conservation Award 2020′
Kathmandu / May 19: The World Wildlife Fund-WWF Nepal has awarded the ‘WWF Nepal Conservation Award 2020 to the Center for Public Health and Environmental Development (CEPHED) for the latter’s efforts at biodiversity and environment conservation. The award was presented at a virtual award ceremony on Wednesday afternoon for CEPHED’s initiatives for eliminating POPs and Mercury from the country’s health sector.
Issuing a press release, CEPHED said it was ‘happy and proud’ to receive the award. “The important ward has taken our organization’s national and international image further high,” the organization said in the press statement, “It has encouraged us and made us even more accountable for biodiversity and environment conservation.”
In the press statement, CEPHED has thanked UNDP GEF SGP Nepal and the WHO for their support to its biodiversity and environment conservation efforts.
