22 mountaineers climb Mt. Dhaulagiri; first successful climbing in 2022

Kathmandu / April 11: A team of 22 mountaineers, 10 foreign mountaineers and 12 Nepali guides, have scaled Mt. Dhaulagiri.

According to Man Bahadur GC, spokesperson of the Department of Tourism, the climb is the first of its kind in 2022.

21 mountaineers, 14 men and 7 women from two different expeditions, have taken permission to summit Mt. Dhaulagiri this year, according to the department.

According to the department, 505 mountaineers of 61 expedition teams have taken permission to climb 18 mountains this spring season.

Of these, 204 people from 42 countries will be scaling Mt. Everest/Sagarmatha, the highest peak in the world.

The department collected 297.4 million as royalty for the climbing.

Meanwhile, 42,006 foreign tourists entered Nepal in the month of March alone, according to the department.
