PM Prachanda to take vote of confidence on Jan 10
Kathmandu / Jan 2: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ will take a vote of confidence on Jan. 10.
Writing a letter to the General Secretary of the Federal Parliament on Monday, PM Prachanda mentioned that he will take a vote of confidence on Jan. 10.
According to Article 76 (2) of the constitution of Nepal CPN (Maoist Centre), Chair Prachanda was appointed prime minister on Dec 25.
As per the provision, the vote of confidence should be taken within 30 days of the appointment as Prime Minister.
To garner the vote of confidence PM need 138 lawmakers’ support out of 175 members of the House of Representatives (HoR).
