‘Cultures unite Nepalis’: Speaker Ghimire

Kathmandu / May 25: Speaker Devraj Ghimire has urged Nepali communities living around the world to help protect and conserve Nepal’s languages, identity and culture.

Addressing the contestants of ‘Mero Voice Universe’ and ‘Mero Dance Universe’ here today, Speaker Ghimire said that art and culture connect every Nepali and unite them.

Ghimire also lauded the two shows for organizing the events by gathering talents from across the world, which he said would help unite Nepalis across the world through language and culture. “On behalf of the House of Representatives (HoR) and on my own, I urge you all for the preservation of our art, religion and culture at home and abroad,” Speaker Ghimire added.

The participants of the two events were selected from more than 52 countries across the world where 50 competitors each of singing and dancing events are making their performances.

The winner of the singing and dancing tournaments will bag Rs 10 million each while the first runner up of the events will get Rs 3 million each.

Likewise, the winner of the group dance competition will receive a purse of Rs 2 million.RSS
