Manang attracts highest no of foreign tourists since COVID-19 pandemic

Manang / Dec 4: Manang district has received the highest number of foreign tourists since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP)’s Area Office in Manang, over 20,800 foreign tourists came to Manang in the last 11 months.

ACAP’s Manang Office Chief, Dhak Bahadur Bhujel, shared that Manang welcomed most of the tourists in October, who mostly visited the district for adventure trekking in the rugged high hills and mountainous zone.

Among all the foreign tourists who visited Manang from January to November this year, the French arrived in the highest number followed by Israeli, German, British, American and Russian, informed Bhujel.

Similarly, tourists from Austria, the Netherlands and India also reached Manang, according to the ACAP, Manang.

In 2022, a total of 15,903 foreign tourists had visited the district. RSS
