Civil servants should focus on result-oriented work performance: PM Prachanda

Kathmandu / June 12: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has pointed out the need for transformation in work performance standard and practices of all civil servants.

Addressing a meeting of the third quarterly progress review along with the Ministry Level Development Problem Solving Committee, organized at Singha Durbar on Wednesday, PM Prachanda directed to development and implementation of the evaluation system based on result-indicative work performance from the forthcoming fiscal year.

PM Prachanda said, “I urge all to carry out their work performance efficiently and honestly bearing in mind the critical role of the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. This office should be made a real center for governance matters. There is a need for transformation in work performance and behavior rather than those who stick with wheedling behavior.”

The PM directed to stress on getting 100 per cent implementation by paying special heed towards implementation of the remaining programmes and activities of the current fiscal year and to carry out the necessary preparatory works in time for the effective implementation of the policies and programmes and budget of 2081/82.
