Over 17,000 infected with dengue, eight deaths

Kathmandu / Oct 8: Over 17,000 people have been confirmed infected with dengue across the country while eight have succumbed to the disease.

According to the records of the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD), dengue has spread to all districts except for Humla.

Dr. Gokarna Dahal, chief of the Vector Borne Disease Control Section of the EDCD, Kaski has the largest number of dengue patients followed by Kathmandu and Tanahun with 2,709, 2,567 and 1,954 dengue patients respectively.
