Bill designed to amend the Prevention of Corruption Act passed


Kathmandu / Jan. 02: State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the House of Representatives has passed the Bill designed to amend the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059.

Today’s meeting of the Committee passed the bill along with the report of the sub-committee on the proposal of Chairperson Ram Hari Khatiwada. A sub-committee was formed under the coordination of committee member Hridaya Ram Thani to finalize the issues raised during the discussion on the bill.

Earlier, discussion was held on the report of the sub-committee. On the occasion, Minister for Home Affairs, Ramesh Lekhak, on behalf of the government requested to pass the bill prepared by the sub-committee as the government had accepted it.
