Kathmandu / April 24: At least 50 senior citizens from Budhanilkantha Municipality benefited from a free health camp organized by Pustantaran Nepal, a social enterprise dedicated to promoting dignified aging.

The health camp, held in close collaboration with Ward No. 8 of Budhanilkantha Municipality, Janmaitri Youth Club, and Next Mart Shopping Center, saw participation from senior citizens aged between 60 and 90.

Dr. Bindu Pandey, a geriatric specialist, noted that many of the elderly participants were found to be suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, and bone-related issues. “Among the attendees, aged 60 to 90 years, many were regularly taking medications for diabetes, bone degeneration, and blood pressure. We also found that most of their children are currently living abroad for employment,” said Dr. Pandey.
