Nepal records 3,383 new cases, 1,994 recoveries and 24 deaths on Tuesday

Kathmandu / August 3: As many as 16,718 tests were conducted on Tuesday and of them 3,383 tested positive for the COVID-19 infection, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

Nepal recorded 3,383 new cases of COVID-19 alongwith 1,994 recoveries and 24 deaths due to COVID-19 on Tuesday.

With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has reached 765,815 including 660,116 recoveries and 9,922 deaths.

As many as 10,638 PCR tests and 6,080 antigen tests were conducted on Tuesday, according to the health ministry. Of them, 2,448 PCR and 935 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19.

Likewise, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 904 new cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 613 were detected in Kathmandu, 114 in Bhaktapur and 177 in Lalitpur districts.
