Sadguru appeals youths to work together for nation building
Kathmandu / Sept. 15: Yogi, mystic, visionary and founder of Isha Foundation Sadguru arrived at The Dwarika’s Hotel, Battisputali amid a press meet program.
Addressing the event, Sadguru said that Nepali culture has the potential to be the Switzerland of Asia due to its purity and sweetness. Sadguru said, “Everyone should work together for nation building. The underdevelopment of any country means having an opportunity so that we can build the nation we want.”
Sadguru urged the youths and entrepreneurs to come together to create a vision for the welfare of the nation and to present that vision to the leaders to decide the future of the nation before the next election. Stating that politics is not a game of discrimination but a means of making policies for the benefit of the nation, Sadhguru said, “The beauty of democracy is that citizens have the right to choose their leaders, so this power should be used wisely to bring conscious people to the leadership level.”
As a response to one of question of a participant- What can a country like Nepal do to increase the biological power of the earth’s arable soil, Sadhguru stressed on ‘policy change’ and said that three things should be included in particular to protect the soil; First, incentives should be given to farmers, second, simplify the process of carbon credits, third, to provide recognition in the market for food products with minimum organic matter (3-6%). Sadhguru stated that it is possible to save the arable soil only by addressing the economic condition of the farmers.
Earlier, last March, Sadhguru launched the Save Soil Campaign worldwide to address the problem of soil destruction. So far, 3.9 billion people have expressed their support for the campaign, in which 81 nations including Nepal have joined officially.
