Nepal Police and Morang play draw; song and slogan of 7th national game finalized

National Sports CouncilKathmandu, October 6: The match between Nepal Police Club and Morang Football Club under the National Football League organised by All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Tuesday ended in a draw. The game played at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato ended 1-1.

The departmental team Nepal Police took the first lead in the 77th minute after Yogesh Shrestha netted the ball. As Nepal Police was set to register a victory, Morang’s Niraj Basnet returned a goal in the additional time to end the match in a draw.

Nepal Police has managed 13 points and continues to retain its seventh position while Morang with seven points is at the bottom of the ladder.

The Three Star club is at the top with 26 points while Nepal Army is second with 24 points. Jhapa XI is in third position with 24 points due to goal difference. Manang Marsyangdi will compete with Jhapa on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the song and slogan of the Seventh National Games going to be held in the Eastern Development Region this year have been finalised.

A meeting of the Executive Committee formed by the National Sports Council to organise the games finalised the song and slogan, said Committee Member and National Sports Council Press Advisor Rohit Dahal. The song written by Tanka Gurung was been selected for the tournament.

”Seventh National Games in Eastern Region, Lets Live and Enjoy Diversity” has been approved as the slogan of the national sports fiesta. However, swimming and bodybuilding championships will be held at Satdobato, Lalitpur. RSS
