Woman finds message in a bottle on Florida beach

STUART / Nov. 20: — While combing a Florida beach for sand dollars, a woman discovered a rum bottle with a mysterious surprise inside.

Sarah Hyde picked up the emptied out bottle of Havana Club rum and discovered it contained a handwritten message, written in Spanish.

After the letter dried, Hyde quickly took to Instagram to have one of her Spanish speaking friends decipher the message.

Soon after one of her followers responded, identifying the letter as a prayer for family members attempting to travel from Cuba to the United States.

WPTV published a translation of the letter.

“I am writing to you through means of this letter with love and a lot of faith because you are the only one in the world that can help me with what I’m about to ask,” the letter read.

Along with the prayer the letter also contained a list of names.(Agencies)
