Mishra receives PATA’s Presidential Award

PATAKathmandu / May 20: Basanta Raj Mishra, Chairman of Temple Tiger Group and former Chairman of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter has been awarded with the PATA’s prestigious “Presidential Award”.

He was honoured amidst the 65th AGM of PATA in Guam, US for his long dedicated service for 40 years to PATA and the tourism industry, the association said.

More than 580 people from 33 countries representing different sections of tourism industry from governments, authorities, airlines, hotel, travel and tourism, institutes, experts, academicians and media gathered in Guam, a US territory to participate at the AGM and also celebrate 65th anniversary of world’s biggest International Tourism Association which is known and regarded by people as the platform to network and knowledge sharing.

High profile experts renowned in their subjects are conducting workshops covering various subjects in business, technology, human capital, management and more during the program.

Chairman of PATA Nepal Chapter and the leader of a Seven Member Nepalese Delegation, Suman Pandey, expressed happiness and stated that the award received by Mr. Mishra shall be instrumental in re-positioning the image of Nepali tourism industry and support the campaign, “Nepal Back on Top of the World”.

The event that commenced on Wednesday is scheduled to conclude on May 21 by electing the new executive committee. RSS
