NA committed to overall security of nation: Chief Chhetri

nepal armyKathmandu / July 25: Nepal Army Chief Rajenda Chhetri has said NA was committed towards overall security of the nation and was closely watching country’s latest political developments and the security affairs.

Taking part in an interaction progamme on NA’s role in production and commercialization of agriculture Monday, COAS Chhetri said NA always feels its responsibility to take note of any possible adverse situation posing a serious threat to the national security, he said, adding that the organization was always committed towards it duty and responsibilities as per the constitution, the NA Directorate of Public Relations said.

The NA was contributing to the sectors of disaster management, environmental security, national development and internal peace establishment efforts with its distinct identity, he said.

The NA has already launched a ‘go-green campaign’ to implement the sanitation and public health-related programmes. Chhetri said the launching of technical and commercial training for NA retired personal is afoot. RSS
