PM Dahal bids farewell to cricket team

nepl-cricketKathmandu / Aug. 05: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has bidden farewell to the Nepali cricket team, which is leaving for Netherlands to play the match under the ICC World Cricket League Championship.

During the interaction with the team at his residence on Friday, PM Dahal extended best wishes to the team, and expressed commitment that he would be ready for the development of cricket.

“Sports consolidate national unity. It is a very good occasion for me to bid farewell to the players on very first day I entered Baluwatar,” he observed.

On the occasion, Minister for Youth and Sports, Daljit Shripali, said the victory the cricket team brings would be victory of entire Nepalis. “I am committed to resolving problems in the sports sector,” he underscored.

Similarly, Captain Parash Khadka expressed confidence that as the team was balanced and robust, it would perform very well. The team is playing two matches with Netherlands.

The first match will be played on August 13 while the second after two days. Nepal has already played six matches under the ICC World Cricket League Championship, and won two matches making four scores.

Netherlands which is on the top of the league score has 10 marks. RSS
