Graft case against former official

CIAAKathmandu / Aug. 07: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has lodged a graft case at the Special Court against the then Under-Secretary Indra Prasad Dhungana, on Sunday.

Dhungana amassed around Rs 20 million illegally while he was serving in the Debt Recovery Tribunal in the capacity of an officer, a statement issued by the CIAA Spokesperson Krishna Hari Pushkar said.

Dhungana has also been charged with living an ‘extravagant’ lifestyle beyond his capacity as a government employee.

The CIAA has also demanded confiscation of all properties registered in the name of Dhungana and his wife Kaushila Dhungana as they failed to furnish details of the income source. RSS
