Action plan on disaster risk reduction

Melamchi / Aug 12: The Melamchi municipality of Sindhupalchowk has decided to frame an action plan on disaster reduction in the municipality.

The municipality has come up with the decision to form a disaster risk reduction committee and announce a fund for the same.

Municipality Executive Officer Purna Prasad Dulal informed that a detailed analysis was done regarding mobilization of resources including human force during disaster. The analysis on management capacity was carried out in presence of the representatives of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army, health organizations, Nepal Red Cross Society and other development partners.

Sindhupalchowk District Red Cross Chair Rajendra Man Talchamani said the Red Cross will put its all efforts to cooperate the municipality in implementing a new plan of action for disaster risk reduction. RSS
