Teacher held on charge of inflicting torture

Bhojpur / Aug 17: A teacher here has been arrested by the police on the charge of inflicting torture on a girl student.
Teacher Indrabir Pradhan of Dawa-based Panchakanya Lower Secondary School, Siddheshwor-1 was taken into police custody for investigations after a 13-year-old girl student of grade 6 consumed poison.
He was arrested Tuesday on the charge of physically assaulting the girl student. Pradhan allegedly teased the girl and mercilessly beat her after she reached the school principal with a complaint of teasing against him.
The girl has been admitted to District Hospital Bhojpur and her health condition is gradually improving, District Police Office, Bhojpur’s Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Lamsal said.RSS
