Data of 49,977 quake affected families collected in Kathmandu Valley

Nepal Reconstruction AuthorityKathmandu / Aug 23: Data of 49,977 families, whose houses were damaged by Gorkha earthquake last year, have been collected in the Kathmandu valley.

With this, 45 per cent task of collecting the details, out of 111,300 households, has been completed in the Valley till August 22.

The National Reconstruction Authority has deputed technicians and social mobilizers along with 400 engineers in the field for the same.

According to the NRA, data of 22,820 households was collected in Kathmandu while 14,808 in Lalitpur and 12,349 in Bhaktapur.

Joint-Secretary at the NRA, Khumraj Koirala, said that they would complete the data collection within 31st August.

He said, “We have completed 45 percent task of data collection. We have been making preparation to provide first installment of the grants for house construction to the related families.” RSS
