Three farmers honoured with President Award

Dhankuta / Oct 21: Three farmers in Dhankuta have been honoured with the ‘President Award’-2073 BS.

The awarded are Surendra Bahadur Chemjog of Maunabudhuk VDC-9, Jitendra Rai of Dhankuta Municipality-2 and Matrika Rai of Dhankuta Municipality-7.

The District Agricultural Office, Dhankuta honoured them with the cash prize amidst a programme here today. The award for them was announced earlier on the occasion of the National Paddy Day that is observed on the 15th of the Nepali month Asar every year, Office Chief Laxmi Pokhrel said.

The award carries a purse of Rs 10,000 each. It may be noted that farmer Chandra Lal Tamang of Bhirgaun-13 in the district had been awarded the National President Award last year. RSS
