Nepal should benefit from its neighbors: Jeffery

U N LogoKathmandu / Dec 4: Special Advisor to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Professor at the Columbia University Jeffrey D Sachs has stated that Nepal should make economic strides by reaping economic benefits from its immediate neighbors- India and China.

Speaking at a programme organized by the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers here Sunday, Jeffrey underscored the development of information, technology, hydropower, tourism, quality education and health for heralding result-oriented development in Nepal.

Similarly, Chief Secretary of the government Dr Somlal Subedi emphasized effective implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals to which Nepal has already expressed its commitment at the international forum to attain goals.

Present at the programme organized in association with the National Planning Commission were the secretaries of various ministries and office bearers of the Commission. RSS
