UML conducts first-ever examination for wanna cadres
Ratnanagar / Dec 11: A total of 200 candidates sat for an exam in Chitwan on Saturday. They were not attempting regular academic examinations rather taking examinations to prove their academic credentials to be UML’s cadres.
Arguably the first ever practice among any political party in the country to academically and intellectually examining candidates before granting membership, the UML Chitwan Chapter conducted the examination among 200 aspirants.
According to the UML Chitwan Chapter, those unable to sit at today’s exam will be allowed to take part in the area and unity level examinations, said UML central committee member Krishna Khanal.
This is, however, the first round of exam, said Khanal, adding that the candidates ought to get through two more exams to be UML’s member.
The exam carries 60 as full mark and 20 is determined pass mark. There are 15 objective questions relating to general knowledge and history, facts and figures concerning the UML. RSS
