CJ Karki for inclusive system on judge appointments

CJ KarkiKathmandu, Dec 18: Chief Justice Sushila Karki has said that judges should be appointed as per the proportional and inclusive system.

At a programme organised to release the ‘Judicial Council Bulletin’ on the occasion of the 26th Establishment Day of the Judicial Council here Sunday, Chief Justice Karki said the

Judicial Day would make judges more responsible and active to ensure justice to the people. She unveiled the Judicial Council Bulletin published by the Council.

Council Secretary Krishna Giri said that the Council had been carrying out activities related to appointment of judges, discipline, among others.

Similarly, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ajay Shankar Nayak, Supreme Court Justice, Gopal Parajuli, Chairman of the Public Service Commission, Umesh Prasad Mainali, Nepal Bar Association Chairman, Sher Bahadur KC, among others were present on the occasion. RSS
