Nepali student in USA bags Alice Curtis Award

rosaKathmandu / Jan 9: A Nepali student, who is currently running her Ph D programme in bio-chemistry and molecular biology from a reputed university in the USA, has been awarded with the Alice Curtis Award in recognition of her excellence in studies.

Rosha Poudyal, who obtained bachelor’s degree in Science majoring in Biology and Maths from the Randolph College in Virginia, USA, received the award. She is currently pursuing her Ph D in the University of Florida.

The 28-year-old academic prodigy, who was the topper in the 2060 BS’s SLC exam from amongst the female students from Kavrepalanchok, aims to conduct a wide range of research on cancer and its antidotes upon the completion of her education.

Having completed her secondary school from the Kathmandu University High School at Dhulikhel, she opted for A-level majoring on Math, Biology, Chemistry and Physics from the Malpi Institute in Kathmandu. RSS
