Human rights annual report submitted to President

NHRC ReportKathmandu / Jan 13: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has submitted its annual report of fiscal year 2016-17 to President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Friday.

At a programme organized at the President’s Office in Shital Niwas, NHRC Chairperson Anup Raj Sharma submitted the report to the President, notes the statement issued by Spokesperson of President’s Office, Kul Prasad Chudal.

Upon receiving the report, President Bhandrai stressed the need to effectively implement the NHRC report, shared NHRC’S Spokesperson Mohana Ansari.

Ansari said the 2016-17 Human Rights Report has mentioned about some war-era cases settled in the year. The Report has recommended that those found guilty in human rights violations should not allowed for any appointment and promotion. RSS
