Silwal case hearing postponed to June 29

Supreme CourtKathmandu, Jun 15: The Supreme Court has deferred the date of hearing for the case of the Inspector General of Nepal Police for June 29.

Earlier, the SC had fixed the date for today but it has been deferred till June 29, SC’s Joint Spokesperson Bishwaraj Poudel said.

The case was put on hold at a time when the hearing of the case was on in a full bench of Justices Cholendra Shumsher JBR, Jagdish Sharma Poudel, Dipak Kumar Karki, Kedar Prasad Chalise, Sapana Malla, Tej Bahadur KC and Purushottam Bhandari.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Nabaraj Silwal had filed a writ petition at the SC asking to appoint him as the police chief after the government appointed Prakash Aryal in the post. RSS
