Yearlong teacher training event to start in Dec

US EmbassyKathmandu / Nov 29: The US Embassy’s Book Bus project will be hosting three different year-long teacher empowerment programmes.

Among the courses to be hosted are: Literacy through Literature for primary school teachers, to be mentored by Niranjan Kunwar; Everyday Science for science teachers, by Dorje Gurung; and Write to Think for secondary school teachers, by Muna Gurung.

Each programme is divided into two segments: training phase, which will take place from December 2017 to April 2018; and support phase, which will run from April 2018 to December 2018.

Each programme, organisers said, is designed to enrich the classroom experience for both the teachers and the students. The introductory session will be held at 11 o clock at Nepal Art Council, Babar Mahal on Friday.

The year-long training is free of cost and is available at first come, first serve basis.
