SC asks TU Council to restore IoM Dean Dr Sharma

Supreme CourtKathmandu / Jan 7: The Supreme Court has asked the Tribhuvan University to restore Dean of Institute of Medicine (IoM), Dr Sashi Sharma, who was dismissed from the post four years ago.

The division bench of Chief Justice Gopal Parajuli and Justice Dipak Kumar Karki issued the order to this end.

The meeting of the TU Executive Council had appointed Dr Sharma as IoM Dean for four years to be effective from January 12, 2014. With this, his term is expiring after four days- on January 11.

Dr Sharma had knocked SC after the Council dismissed him and appointed Prof Dr Rakesh Prasad Shreevastav as IoM Dean.

Similarly, after Dr Shreevastav resigned from the post, Prof Dr Jagdish Prasad Agrawal was appointed the IoM Dean. RSS
