Dr Govinda KC arrested in charge of contempt of court

Kathmandu / Jan 8: Police has arrested Dr. Govinda KC, who has begun his hunger strike from Monday afternoon.

After the Supreme Court ordered to present Dr. KC to the court on Tuesday 9:00 AM, police has arrested Dr. KC from Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital on Monday evening.

Responding to a contempt court case filed by section officer Netrabandu Poudyal of SC, the court has ordered Ministry of Home Affairs, Police Headquarter to present Dr. KC on Tuesday 9:00 AM.

Senior orthopedic at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Dr. Govinda KC has begun his hunger strike from Monday afternoon at 4 pm for demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Gopal Parajuli.

Dr. KC accused the apex court of being influenced by the medical mafia for issuing the verdict in favor of Dr. Sharma after four years.
