Oli expands cabinet; 15 new ministers take oath

Cabinet ExpansionKathmandu / Mar 16: 15 new ministers from CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) have taken oath today at the Presidential office, Sheetal Niwas on Friday.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli led government has appointed 15 new ministers, nine from CPN UML and six from Maoist Center.

The Oli led government is desegregating handful of ministries that were merged 22 days ago.

These are Ministry of Water Resources and Energy; Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare; Ministry of Labor and Employment; Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Newly elected ministers and their portfolio are:

Pradip Gyawali (Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

Gokarna Bista (Ministry of Labor and Employment)

Rabindra Adhikari (Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation)

Raghubir Mahaseth (Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport)

Jagat Bishwokarma (Ministry of Youth and Sports)

Sher Bahadur Tamang (Ministry of Law and Justice)

Gokul Baskota (State Ministry of Information and communication )

Dhan Bahadur Buda (State Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation)

Padma Aryal (State Ministry of Health)

Barshaman Pun (Ministry of Energy)

Giriraj Mani Pokhrel (Ministry of Education)
