President Bhandari extends tribute to senior neurosurgeon Dr Devkota

Kathmandu, June 19: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has extended condolences in the demise of senior neurosurgeon Dr Upendra Devkota.

President Bhandari’s Chief Personal Secretary, Bheshraj Adhikari, reached the Bansbari-based Neuro Hospital today and conveyed President Bhandari’s condolence message to Devkota’s spouse Dr Madhu Devkota Dixit and daughters.

In the condolence message, President Bhandari expressed deep sorrow on the demise of Dr Devkota, saying it has caused irreparable loss in the health sector of the country.

Dr Devkota, who was suffering from bile duct cancer died on Monday afternoon. His mortal remains have been kept at Bansbari-based Neuro Hospital for paying of last tributes. He would be cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat-based electric crematorium today itself. RSS
