Agreement on reconstruction of Kasthamandap

heritageKathmandu / Sept 14: An agreement has been signed between the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) and Kasthamandap Reconstruction Committee to carry out reconstruction of historic Kasthamandap soon.

Joint-Secretary Rajeshwor Gyawali from KMC and Chairperson Rajesh Shakya representing the Committee signed the agreement in this regard Friday.

Both the sides agreed to carry out the reconstruction as per the design approved by the Department of Archeology, keeping the archeological, historical and ancient value intact.

The KMC has already announced to provide Rs 500 million grant for the rebuilding of the historical heritage. Preparations are afoot to complete the undertaking within four years. RSS
