President Bhandari to leave for 4-day state visit to Qatar

President VisitKathmandu / Oct 26: President Bidya Devi Bhandari is leaving for a four-day state visit to Qatar on Monday.

During her visit, the head-of-the-state is scheduled to meet her Qatari counterpart Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani.This is her second foreign visit in the capacity of President of Nepal.

Earlier, Ram BaranYadav, first President of Nepal, had also paid a state visit to Qatar.

It has been believed that the state visit of President Bhandari to Qatar will further strengthen relationship between the two countries. More than 400,000 Nepalis are currently working in the oil-rich nation.

It has been learnt that President Bhandari will discuss various issues like security of Nepali migrant workers, opportunity, challenges and investment with her Qatari counterpart.

Nepali Ambassador to Qatar Ramesh Prasad Koirala had already returned to Qatar from Nepal after giving necessary briefing about preparations of the President’s visit.

Qatari Ambassador to Nepal Yousuf Bin Mohmed Al-Hail had already left for Qatar.
