CIEDP forms five different committees

Kathmandu / Dec 4: The Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons (CIEDP) has formed five committees in order to carry out various activities including providing identity cards to the conflict victim families and recommendation for action.

These committees are the Suggestion Preparation Committee for Institutional Improvement for Prevention of Conflict in Future with Commission Chairperson Lokendra Mallik as coordinator, the Reparation Recommendation Criteria Preparation Committee under the coordination of Commission member Bijul BK Dulal, the Perpetrator Statement Work Procedure Preparation Committee under coordination of Commission’s Spokesperson Prof Dr Bishnu Pathak, the Disappeared Victim Identity Card Distribution Work Procedure Preparation Committee under the coordination of Commission member Nar Kumari Gurung and the Action Recommendation Criteria Committee under coordination of Commission member Aai Bahadur Gurung.

Commission’s spokesperson Pathak said that the Commission has been working by forming five different committees in order to carry out its works on time. The Commission has carried out detailed study in 56 districts on the enforced disappeared persons.
